Get confident online with Fingal County Libraries

This event is a series of classes aimed at demonstrating the usage of popular websites. There will be a particular focus on social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Boards, Flickr and MySpace but the classes will not be limited to these. It will also be covering the use of more practical websites such as Skype, Amazon, eBay and the various media players on-line such as YouTube or RTE/BBC players.

The class will start off by demonstrating the basics of creating pages/profiles for these various websites and then explain how to use each site fully. The ultimate goal is for people to realize the full potential of the more popular web applications and to feel confident in their usage.

Fingal County Council, Libraries Department is running this event which takes place in Blanchardstown Library.

Who should attend?

The class is open to anyone who understands basic internet usage but wishes to fully understand and use various practical websites. A certain level of internet knowledge will be necessary, e.g. having a personal email account.

When are the classes on?
